Grand Canyon: Part I
I took these photos on an eight day rafting trip down the Grand Canyon in May of 1998. Our group of 36 was divided between three 35 ft rafts. I don't think I ever really cleared the sand out of most of the things I took with me. Fortunately, the camera survived!

 | This one's similar to the shot above but with a faster shutter speed. |
 | From photos I've seen, North Canyon usually has beautifully clear and reflective waters. This wasn't the case when I visited, but the spot was very impressive nonetheless. |
 | Later, we found out that the morning haze was actually forest fires in Mexico. While on the trip though, I found the effect enchanting. |
 | One of the beaches had some amazingly photogenic driftwood. |
