Goonies Music

The Origianl Motion Picture Soundtrack is actually comprised of mostly the eighties pop songs that can be heard in the background occasionally throughout the movie. There are in fact, only a couple of tracks that contain the original Dave Grusin movie score. I do not own this soundtrack, but additional information can be found at The Goonies Score Soundtrack Writing Campaign website.

I was fortunate to find the Cindi Lauper LP single featuring "The Goonies 'R' Good Enough." The B-side has the song "What a Thrill" (part of which can be heard during the Troy / Wishing Well scene).

There was a CD released by Edel Records not to long ago that contained about 20 minutes of the Dave Grusin Goonies score. This 2CD set was titled "Best of Adventure" and featured a number of other great adventure movie scores. Unfortunately, it's out of print now and I can't seem to find it anywhere. If you happen to have additional information about who might be selling it, I'd like to hear about it.
